Kick-off meeting of the “TEXTURE” project
On Friday, September 4, 2026, the kick-off meeting of the project with the acronym “TEXTURE” (MIS 6010588) will be held from 10:00 to 14:00 at the headquarters of the Municipality of Nestos (Premetis Street, 64200 Chrysoupoli, Kavala, Greece).
The kick-off meeting will also mark the first meeting of the Joint Management Team (JMT), bringing together representatives of all project partners.The responsible Managing Authority/Joint Secretariat of the Cross-Border Cooperation Programme “Interreg VI-A Greece-Bulgaria 2021-2027” will also be invited to attend the JMT meetings.
The project aims to promote the circular economy and more responsible consumption of textile products through prevention, reuse and repair of textile products, while strengthening cross-border cooperation and community involvement.
The project has a total duration of 24 months, starting on July 28, 2026, anda total project budget of €2,179,471.12. It is financed by the Cross-Border CooperationProgrammeInterreg VI-A “Greece-Bulgaria 2021-2027” and is implemented underPriority Axis 1 of the Programme: “A more resilient and greener Greece-Bulgaria Cross-Border Region”.
The project partnership consists of four partners, two from Bulgaria (the Municipalityof Hadzhidimovo and the Association for Textile Recycling) and two from Greece (theMunicipality of Nestos and the Regional Association of Solid Waste ManagementAgencies of Central Macedonia).
The Regional Association of Solid Waste Management Agencies of Central Macedonia(FoDSA CM), as the competent public authority for the implementation of the RegionalWaste Management Plan in Central Macedonia, will contribute its expertise in wastemanagement, supporting technical activities, awareness-raising and the transfer ofknow-how on circular economy practices.
